LOCAL RULES
1 OUT OF BOUNDS
Is all ground beyond the following extremities of the
Golf Course. This includes, fences, a gate, hedges, white
posts.
See definition of ”Out of Bounds” Rule 27/1 applies.
2 WATER HAZARD
a) The pool in front of the 7 th tee (adjacent to 6/15 th
fairway), marked by yellow posts and or a line marked
on the grass.
b) The ditch on the 3 rd /12 th fairway, marked by red posts.
See definition of “a water hazard”; Rules 26/1 and 26/2
apply.
3 IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS
a) Cable markers, drain covers, tee mat frames,
wooden railway sleepers which are part of the 10 th
tee & 3/12 th tees, tree roots which are on the
surface of fairways, pylons on the 2/11 th and 3/12 th
holes, seats, pipe work, sprinkler heads and valve
covers, the bell post and all staked trees, young
trees marked with white paint are deemed to be
immovable obstructions.
b) Paths and protective screens are an integral part of
the course.
Rule 24/2 applies.
4 POWER LINES
If a player’s ball strikes an overhead wire only, on any part
of the course within its boundary, the player must abandon
the ball and replay the shot without penalty in accordance
with Rule 20/5.
5 STONES IN BUNKERS (Rule 24/1)
Stones in bunkers are deemed moveable obstructions and
may be removed if interfering with play after notifying your
marker or opponent.
6 SPARE GREENS
If a ball rests on spare green identified with a notice “Pick
off this Green”, the player will drop off the green at the
nearest point to obtain relief but no nearer the hole being
played.
7 FIXED SPRINKLER HEADS
All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions and
relief from them may be obtained under Rule 24/2. In
addition, if such an obstruction on or within two club lengths
of the putting green of the hole being played intervenes on
the line of play between the ball and the hole the player
may obtain relief, without penalty as follows:
If the ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and is
within two club lengths of the intervening obstruction, it may
be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the nearest point to where
the ball lay which,
a) Is not nearer the hole,
b) Avoids such intervention
c) Is not in a hazard or on the putting green.
8 PREFERRED LIES AND WINTER RULES
A ball lying on any “closely mown area” including bunker
backs, through the green, may be lifted without penalty,
cleaned and placed within six inches of where it originally
lay, not nearer the hole, must be marked prior to it being
lifted,
Rule 20/1 applies.
9 DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES
For all play at this course, a player may obtain distance
information by using a device that measures distance only
Rule 14/3 Applies
10 VEHICLE TYRE MARKS
If a ball rests in vehicle tyre marks, on the fairway, the ball
may be lifted, cleaned and dropped, no nearer the hole,
without penalty.
11 GROUND UNDER REPAIR
Large bare areas on the course on the following holes are
to be treated as Ground under Repair. A free drop may be
taken at the nearest point of relief no nearer the hole
Hole 1/10 rear of Green
Hole 2 left hand side adjacent to the Tee
Hole 2/11 Fairway adjacent to barn
Hole 2/11 Old path between No 2 & No 11 Greens
Hole 3/12 Muddy area left hand side of Green
Hole 3/12 Fairway wet puddle areas near to Green
Hole 5/14 Path left hand side of Green plus right hand side
of Green
Hole 6/15 Large Bunker in front of Green when full of water
Hole 9/18 Left hand side of Green
